Microdermabrasion
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is the exfoliation process that removes the uppermost layer of dead skin cells from the face, chest, hands, back and other areas of the body.
There are various ways to get a microdermabrasion from facial cloths and home kits, or by using a series of all natural skin care products. These skin care products yield the best results. When looking for a skin care product, make sure that it contains no harsh soaps or chemicals. The reason to avoid harsh chemicals is that when these dead skin cells are removed your skin may be exposed to these harsh chemical or soaps that may leave a rash on your face.
What are the Benefits of Microdermabrasion?
- Microdermabrasion leaves skin with a fresher, more glowing look.
- It diminishes enlarged pores, and coarse textured skin.
- It makes it easy for skin care products to actually penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and helps destroy acne at its source.
Microdermabrasion can also be used to treat very mild acne scarring. The only downside is that if you go to a clinic to get a microdermabrasion treatment, you are going to pay a lot of money. These treatments have to be repeated several times so be prepared to dish out a lot of money.
My recommendation is to find a good microdermabrasion cloth and an exfoliating acne treatment. These will yield the same results but save you a lot of money in the long run.
