Tazorac
What is Tazorac?
Tazorac (tazarotene) is an acne cream only available by prescription. While is works for some, many have complained of negative side effects.
One reviewer said “After the first couple days I thought it was working but then my skin started to break out really badly all over esp. on my cheeks and the area around my mouth became really dry and flaky. I’d read that it’ll get worse before it gets better so I stuck it out for 8 weeks but it never got better. My skin looks way better without taz than it did with it.”
Side Effects
Tazorac ever warns against its own product: according to their website: “For patients with acne, the most common side effects of Tazorac Cream and Gel 0.1% are peeling, burning/stinging, dry skin, red skin, and itching.”
Thank you Tazorac for the warning.
Furthermore, according to Tazorac’s website: “Cream and Gel should not be used if you are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant or at high risk of pregnancy.” This excludes nearly all women who have acne problems. Tazorac has been found to cause birth defects, so please don’t take it if you don’t meet the criteria.
Thank you once again for the warning Tazorac.
