Tretinoin | Tretinoin for Acne Treatment
What is Tretinoin?
Tretinoin (a.k.a. Retin-A) is the acidic form of Vitamin-A. Like Alpha Hydroxy Acids (most often used as the 2nd step in all 3-Step-Acne Systems) Tretinoin is a chemical exfoliant (it unclogs pores). It’s phenomenal with blackheads, and so-so with all other types of acne.
Downsides of Tretinoin
It’s new, and they don’t know how it works. I don’t know about you, but that scares the bejezus out of me. An acid that melts callogen like a blowtorch can’t be good on your skin, much less your overall health. Preliminary side effects include dryness, redness, itching and burning (we’re used to these ones aren’t we?) and finally, thinning of the skin.
Tretinoin Conclusion
We do not recommend Tretinoin because of dangerous side effects.
The most popular Tretinoin product for acne include Tretinoin Micro. Our top 5 Rated Acne Products will do all that Tretinoin does, without the side effects.
